Prof. Dr. Turalay Kenc

Former Deputy Governor Turalay Kenç is currently a board member at the Cambridge Endowment for the Research in Finance at the University of Cambridge and working at the TOBB Economy and Technology University as a professor of finance.
Profesor Kenç received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of York, England. He worked at several UK universities including the University of Cambridge, the Birkbeck College London, the University of Durham, and the Imperial College London in different capacities.
He was a professor of finance at the Bradford University School of Management when he was elected as a board member for the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (the Bank) in April 2009. The Bank also appointed him as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank in the same year. In 2011 professor Kenc became Deputy Governor of the Bank for 5 years.
He also served as chair of the Bank for International Settlements’ Irving Fisher Committee on Central Bank Statistics and editor-in-chief of the Central Banking Review-Journal.
Professor Kenç has gained work and consultancy experience from a range of countries and institutions including US Fed and universities, UK OMFIF, Canadian think tank - the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) - Argentina, Chinese universities, and think-tank, Kazakhstan National Bank and universities.
